Send large images to your client

So, your client on the other side of the world wants full-size TIFFs and wants them now!  How are you going to deliver?

Shipping a CD is out...ftp is difficult to explain or set-up quickly...and besides, your website is so popular that you are already perilously close to it's monthly bandwidth limit.

What you need is a user-friendly, cost effective file sharing service, with good privacy features...and maybe some you-to-client-to-you collaboration.

Hmm...what about drop.io?

You can upload 100Mb of files for free (that's cost effective!), use a password to control access, your client can comment on the files and you can even engage in real-time chat.

For free.

So thats the sharing bit sorted, you just need to create a drop on drop.io, create the TIFF files in Lightroom, find them on your hard-drive and load them up to the drop.  Just don't forget to delete them when you are finished to free up space on your always full hard drive.

Sounds like it will take a lot of your valuable time...which isn't ideal.

Guess what? Photo-drop Lr does all that for you.

You just select the all the photos you want to upload in Lightroom, open the export dialog, enter the drop information (you can use an existing drop or create a new one) and press Export.

You carry on working (or sleeping) whilst Photo-drop Lr and Lightroom does all the heavy lifting to get the photos onto drop.io in the background.  When its finished, just tell your client the URL and password.

Simple.

If you are uploading multiple files and your client needs them right now, you could send them the drop URL before Photo-drop Lr has finished uploading them all and they will see the files as they arrive in real-time.

Brilliant.

But...theres always a but...you have ten 50Mb files to share, they won't fit into a single 100Mb drop.

Don't worry, drop.io provide upgrades to your drop for only $10 for 1Gb for one year.

Thats a one off payment to have bucket-loads of user friendly, sharing space for one whole year.

Download the free trial of Photo-drop Lr or go ahead and buy it
